PLA bill introduced in D.C. Council

On September 18, 2023, Bill 25-469 - the Revised Project Labor Agreement Cost Threshold Amendment Act of 2023 - was introduced in the D.C. Council. The bill will lower the cost threshold for mandatory PLA requirements on District assisted projects from $75 million to $50 million. In doing so, it would significantly increase the number of PLA projects in the District.

The bill was referred to the Committee on Public Works & Operations, chaired by Councilmember Brianne Nadeau (Ward 1).

Tell the D.C. Council that you oppose Bill 25-469!

Email the D.C. Council, and tell them that PLAs:

  1. Are sold on the LIE that they help local construction workers and prevent labor disputes.

  2. CHEAT local and minority-owned construction firms from working on projects funded by their own tax dollars; and

  3. STEAL wages from DC construction workers.
